NEIGHBOR-TO-NEIGHBOR NETWORK

There is a new resource available to Cumberland Hill neighbors!
The Neighbor to Neighbor Network is a support program for our neighbors who are facing a time of need. The N2N Network brings meals to families challenged with the recovery from a short illness or surgery, struggling with a longer-term illness, the loss of a loved one, or even the celebrating the arrival of a new baby. We can also bring a “welcome to the neighborhood” dinner (or two…or three) to a family moving into Cumberland Hill, helping them avoid another night of delivered pizza. Network volunteers will prepare the meals and then deliver them to the family in need, hopefully making their life just a little less stressful. Families can receive one or several dinners per week based on their desires and schedules.

To set up a dinner schedule for your neighbor (or yourself), contact the N2N Coordinator and she’ll do the rest. All you have to do is ASK! Everything is kept confidential so no details are necessary, but please make sure the family is open to receiving meals. All the Coordinator will need is the family’s name, address and a phone number to reach them. The N2N Network will then coordinate meal times with the family, and give them a printed calendar of when to expect some neighborly help.

You can reach the Coordinator for N2N Network,
Julie Bastian, at
jkbastian@insightbb.com.

Also….
If you are willing to be part of the volunteer network that provides the meals, WE NEED YOU! Please contact Julie to sign up to prepare and deliver a meal. It is only through your help and kindness that we can help our neighbors in need. Thank you!

DON'T FORGET OUR OMBUDSMAN!
Have a problem or concern with a neighbor which you would rather not have to solve on your own? Maybe you have just a question about the neighborhood? CHNA offers this unique service for all members of the Association.

Our Ombudsman position is being handled by both Margaret Workman and Phil Bryant, and they are more than happy to help you with any neighborly problems that you might have. You can contact them via email: ombudsman@cumberlandhill.net or their numbers are in your neighborhood directory. Remember, your identity will be kept confidential, so please, no anonymous complaints.
